A healthy blessing with the Avocado dressing

If you’re on another health kick and your taste buds desperately want some taste, because you’re tired of chewing on lettuce. Personally, I find lettuce to be bland and I can’t get it down without loads of dressing. But I digress.

I found this great recipe for avocado dressing that goes really well with salads and the pasta salad. Normally, people feel avocado is bland but this recipe made me fall in love with avocados. The recipe includes a Southwestern salad and is on buzzfeed. You can also see the video on

Avocado is chock full of nutrients and has lots of fiber. Naturally, its great for the heart and lowers cholesterol. And here is the punch – it helps weight loss. Suddenly, avocados are looking great right? So hurry up make the avocado dressing that;ll change the way you view this wonder fruit forever.

Things you need –  

Avocado (obviously)

One clove of garlic

2 teaspoons of lemon juice

A couple of pinches of pepper and salt

Some cilantro

About 4 spoons of Olive oil

A few shavings of ginger or ginger powder


Put all the ingredients in the blender and mix it. Yes, its that simple! I love the spicy taste that comes with the raw garlic itself and the strong flavor it gives so I put 2 cloves in.

Pour the dressing over your salad and you’re ready to go! Delight in your healthy meal which is no more the despair of taste buds!

All the flavors come together and jazz up the salad. When you take your first bite of the salad, its heaven! And its one of the only ways I can eat avocado.
